Hello Everyone,

“Just as summer surrenders to Fall.. and Fall to Winter; we too, must surrender to life’s changes.”  ~Laura

Photo Writing Prompt:  Regardless of who you are or where you live, at some point in your life…you have surrendered or will surrender to something or someone. Life has a way of bringing us to our knees. Some may view this as a negative where others may see positive.

Surrender does not require closed eyes, a deaf ear or even a closed mouth. It simply means looking with  different perspective.

Born and raised as a coal miner's daughter in North Central West Virginia is what keeps me humble. My influence as a Christian, wife, mother and grandmother gives me purpose. Living my life to the fullest and making each day count is what keeps me fulfilled. Using my God-given talents for others simply makes me happy...and living for God is what makes me whole.

  1. The photo makes me think of the end of summer. That’s when I surrender my lazy days off and return to teaching. First I let out a sigh. Then I smile and meet new children and parents and get down to work.
