one eye open.one eye shut.

Hi Everyone,

It’s Free Flow Friday.

Today’s Prompt: one eye open. one eye shut.

Every Friday, a quote, image, music clip, word or writing prompt will be posted. Use these as a way to unblock and enhance your creative thinking skills.

There are no rules. Find your right moment in the day or week to write with little to no distractions. Use a pen, pencil, keyboard or whatever fits the mood and just write. WRITE. WRITE. WRITE. I prefer pen, (blue ink) rather than my computer. My thoughts seem to flow faster when my pen hits the page.

Express all those buried, unconscious thoughts within the deepest part of your mind. You may use the timer provided below as you write. But whatever you do, don’t stop until the time is up. Keep the flow going. Do this as often as you choose. The more you write the more you unlock the block. Once you feel you have a creative flow, take something from your writing and turn it into your own masterpiece.

This photo was taken along a street in the city of Richmond, Va. Many of the streets and alleys are painted with beautiful street art and graffiti. I’m always impressed with the true expression of what the artist is trying to convey.

Art does not reproduce what we see,

rather, it makes us see. ~Paul Klee

Photo Writing Prompt: one eye open. one eye shut: We have all had our moments where we have put one, if not both hands, over our eyes for some reason. Some moments may be negative and others, positive. Please tell us what this photo says to you. Feel free to use the photo.

It’s another Free Flow Friday. The word is:

INVISIBLE

What would you do if you woke up one morning

and found yourself invisible?

or

Have you ever been in a crowded room

but yet wasn’t seen by a single soul?

Invisible:

It’s like writing with a white crayon on white paper.

*

The invisible tears are difficult to wipe away.

*

What may be the worst of all…

Being completely visible

but painfully ignored.

Tell us what invisible means to you.

It can be humorous, serious, poetic, or a simple thought or quote…

what’s your take on invisible?

Thanks to all those who have participated in the past. I really appreciate your contribution on Free Flow Friday.

I Got The Music In ME…

Hi Everyone,

It’s Free Flow Friday and  today’s prompt is a music clip.

If you were to ask me why I like music so much…I would have to say,

Music unlocks the Laura in me.

To stop the flow of music

would be like silencing my mind.

There’s nothing like a good song to express that very thought, feeling or moment in time. So, todays Free Flow Friday is all about the music.

The link below is a song that I have added to my Spotify playlist.

It picks me up. It makes me smile. It moves me.  Check it out!

CAN’T STOP THE FEELING

Now it’s your turn. Post a favorite song or lyric. Share your thoughts on music. Tell me what makes you move.

Thanks to all those who have participated in the past. I really appreciate your contribution on Free Flow Friday.

The Reality of Fear

Hi Everyone,

It’s Free Flow Friday and here is today’s prompt: FEAR

Fear comes in many shades. We’ve all had those moments in which we have felt anxiety, stress, worry and insecurities of the unknown, or maybe…even of the known, which has caused fear.

Fear is an emotion hardwired within the brain. It’s there for a reason. Being afraid is a normal function of the human brain. It can be your friend or your enemy.  What your thoughts on this topic?

What’s Your Biggest Fear?

Don’t be shy. Please share!

Thanks to all those who have participated in the past. I really appreciate your contribution on Free Flow Friday.

Looking Back

Hi Everyone,

It’s Free Flow Friday and here is today’s prompt: Looking Back

The photo below is a pic I took while traveling. As I looked in my rear view mirror, I saw the sunset off in a distance.  I couldn’t help it. I found myself looking back and seeing moments from my past, all the while, I was moving forward.

Share what looking back means to you. Feel free to use the photo.  I am finding that many are not using the pingbacks, and that’s fine. If you ever feel like sharing this link, I would totally appreciate it. But, I’ve decided that I will continue to post and put ideas out there for all to use and share.

Thanks to all those who have participated in the past. I really appreciate your contribution on Free Flow Friday.
